Central One kicked us off, but we still need YOU to help us raise the remaining $500,000!  Our athletic fields are in poor condition and our high school sports teams have severely limited access to our grass fields. The time has come to replace the Stadium and Lower athletic fields at Shrewsbury High School.

Did you know…?

  • High school Fall Sports have limited home games to protect the grass
  • No Spring sports are played on the Stadium Field
  • No Physical Education classes use the Stadium Field
  • Youth sports teams are unable to use the Stadium Field at all
  • District Track Meets cannot be held due to the poor condition of the track
  • Field Hockey girls cannot be recruited at home; they are recruited at competitor’s fields so they can be viewed playing on a turf field.

Artificial turf is the only solution that provides adequate access for the number of teams and athletes we have at the high school and in the community.

Three Phase Project

The Campaign for Shrewsbury Athletic Fields is a three-phase project to replace deteriorating grass fields with long-lasting, low maintenance artificial turf, add lighting and install ADA compliant seating and walkways.  These improvements will give high school sports teams, physical education classes and youth sports leagues the access they need.
